Introduction

In this blog post, we'll share the most commonly asked coding interview questions at Roku. If you don't have months to study for your interviews, you can use AI tools like Chatmagic to generate solutions quickly and efficiently - helping you pass the interviews and get the job offer!

Problem #1: Backspace String Compare

Given two strings s and t, return true if they are equal when both are typed into empty text editors. '#' means a backspace character. Note that after backspacing an empty text, the text will continue empty. Example 1: Input: s = "ab#c", t = "ad#c" Output: true Explanation: Both s and t become "ac". Example 2: Input: s = "ab##", t = "c#d#" Output: true Explanation: Both s and t become "". Example 3: Input: s = "a#c", t = "b" Output: false Explanation: s becomes "c" while t becomes "b". Constraints: 1 <= s.length, t.length <= 200 s and t only contain lowercase letters and '#' characters. Follow up: Can you solve it in O(n) time and O(1) space?

Problem #2: Multiply Strings

Given two non-negative integers num1 and num2 represented as strings, return the product of num1 and num2, also represented as a string. Note: You must not use any built-in BigInteger library or convert the inputs to integer directly. Example 1: Input: num1 = "2", num2 = "3" Output: "6" Example 2: Input: num1 = "123", num2 = "456" Output: "56088" Constraints: 1 <= num1.length, num2.length <= 200 num1 and num2 consist of digits only. Both num1 and num2 do not contain any leading zero, except the number 0 itself.
